Red held the pup away from him slightly, because the thing was struggling and screaming. The poor boy had no idea what to do. Sol had never been near pups before, and as far as he could remember, he had never seen any either. So, the hybrid just sat there under a tree with a bewildered look on his face. Right about then a snarling wolf came crashing through the brush with a branch in hand, hissing threateningly at him. If red hadn’t been frozen with fear he probably would have dropped the puppy, literally.
He got up from beneath the tree slowly and placed the puppy on the ground, gently. He was scared that the she-wolf was going to fly at him and he would have a moiety of that branch stuck down his throat. ”Señora, yo no meant daño a su niño. No harm.” Red stepped back away from the pup, his hands held up in a non-threatening gesture. |
