Preferably anyone that isn't Ayasha or Saphrina, nothing personal, she just needs to meet more people Smile word count: 527!

Shanta still hadn't adjusted to living in the pack. She had been here for nearly a month, yet she had only a handful of friends. She grabbed her satchel, a small, worn out, leather satchel. Her mother had given it to her, it held everything she needed in it; Her satchel held her knife, a small piece of fabric, dream catcher material, feathers, and anything she finds interesting. She touched the satchel, incoherently, before putting it on. She was in the stables, having just finished mucking the stalls and replacing the muck with fresh straw. The Stables still weren't completely fixed, but they were getting there. The horses were also recovering from the terrible blizzard. Some had been injured, but now, they were pretty much good as new. Shanta tried to ride a different horse every day, this way they got use to her, thought it was also a good rehab for them all. The rides helped the horse regain their strength, but for Shanta, they helped her relax and think.

Shanta finally pulled herself out of the stables, after she had said by to a gorgeous Appy mare she had grown close to. Today was a day she couldn't go riding, it just wasn't something for today. She decided it would be good to go a familiarize herself with the territory. Most of her time had been spent near Adella's Rage, and no further than that. Today, she decided she would travel in the opposite directions, towards the D'alli Ranger Station. She hadn't been that far, but she had heard about it and seen it on a few maps that lay around the Town Hall. However, she did not wish to be alone, though she wanted some older company, someone of a mature age. She loved having Ayasha and Saphrina with her, but they would be a handful on this trek. She started of towards the Village, hoping to pick up some company on the way. Shanta made her way in the graceful, purposeful, walk she inherited from her mother. Her silvery blue eyes watched the different creatures skid around, some running away from her, others watching.

Finally, the forest began to open up, finally clearing out to small huts, destroyed and weathered. Though some weren't damaged badly, there was evidence of the horrible blizzard. Shanta had showed up just in time, the pack had been in need of new members and more help. She had always been sure to get her work down, the animals were now part of her responsibility, before she helped around the village. She had met some, thought she didn't actually meet them. She strolled through the main path, usually, many were there. So she dodged others and wore a easy, relaxed face. She finally made it to the far end of the village, still heading towards the D'alli Ranger Station. She kept up her pace and toyed with one of her braids with one hand. Shanta looked around one last time before she passed the last few huts, the ones the lay on the edge of the village. Her spirits were dampened when she had failed to talk to someone.
