Pripyat lay there, unknowing or perhaps simply uncaring of what went on in the world around him. Nothing could piece back together Jefferson and Geneva, and while his two pillars of strength deteriorated it seemed his whole world was falling to bits. It was easier to ignore it out here, alone, but the thoughts never totally left him. The only sign of life was the occasional deep sigh, his chest rising and falling every so often. Bright blues stared straight ahead, ears fallen back against his skull. And yet, even if he pretended he was dead he was not so. And could not continue to pretend when a friendly voice found him. "Hello… I'm Mizu Kuin.. Who are you?" One ear, the left, raised and flicked in slight irritation at the interruption of his solitude and he said nothing. Perhaps such an intrusion would go away.
And then the voice again and what was this? Pripyat felt the warmth of another's body upon his own as the girl lowered herself next to him and nuzzled into his fur. Such affection was common placed from his mother, and occasionally came from his father and less often from other pack members. Yet it had never been unwelcome or unnerving. And now it was both, and yet also it was familiar and friendly. Pulling away slightly without rising up, Pripyat turned his eyes upon the stranger who was both so bold and kind to try and comfort him rather than confront him. His voice was low and unsure, hesitant at this woman who seemed so concerned for a soul she did not even know. " I'm Pripyat… Pripyat Soul." Was he okay? Did it matter? He let the question pass unanswered and instead tossed one of his own out. "What are you doing here?" As if he had any more right than she. He knew he didn't, he knew she was only helping, but for some reason he didn't care. He wasn't his usual self and didn't think he would be again.
