A crow's cry
#2
It was being a quiet, peaceful evening.

The Russian, retreated to his study, analised the tubes and the changing colors of the multiple chemicals inside them. So far, none of those colors displeased his wise knowledge of their meanings. They all showed him exactly what he wanted to see - why would he be mad at that?

He had decided to take this day to take samples of the earth where he was planning to settle down the grazing fields, just to see if they were a good soil. The better the soil, the better is the grass that grows. And the better the grass, the better food for the livestock. Simple as that. And, from his simple knowledges on alchemy and chemestry, analising the soil wouldn't be much of a task.

A sudden squak just outside his door got the male off his guard. Luckily, years worth of working with chemicals granted him steady hands, which avoided a tragic accident if that glass with
aqua fortis
he held on his hands was to fall on his table or worse, on his lap.

The grayish wolf turned slowly to his door while putting down the glass on its holster just as slowly and finally, got up. He found it weird, for that cry sounded exactly like a crow, and as far as he knew, no crows lived inside the cave system. Unless someone brought it inside? But what for?

He moved out his leather door and, for his surprise, he saw none other than Alaki looking rather mad at whatever he held on his arms - which seemed to be some sort of net or tangled pieces of straw.

"Alaki...! What are you doing here?" He asked, surprised at the minimun. Ever since that unfortunate meeting with the AniWayan J'adore at the borders, both Anatheman seemed to avoid each other. Liev did it only because the other seemed to feel bad about it, and he knew he would came back to talk about it, sooner or later. All the Russian was doing was giving the younger warrior the time and space to think it all through.
