Symera was surprised when Halo came breaking through the foliage. When she was told to get back she ducked fully into the cover of the bush. Symmy had at least attempted to stand her ground against the larger foe. She hadn't turned tail and run to hide behind Halo when the odds were against her. It was foolish but Symera had seen it as determination. She hadn't backed down from Halo's threat so why back down from this threat when she was so determined to prove herself in the eyes of everyone that said she couldn't do something just because of her size.

The small girl peeked out from her shelter in order to watch the female warrior tangle with the crazed beast. Symera had no idea that she had been followed. What was stranger still was that the older female appeared to actually care when before she had been somewhat distant. Or maybe that was just the thrill of finding a stinky to get rid of. Whatever it was that had drawn her out Symera could hardly take her eyes off of the older female.

While Symera looked on and licked and the light scratches on her leg the wolf snapped its jaws at Halo. The lone canine snarled because its easy meal was being kept from it. Once again those jaws tried to snap at the optime shifted female before the starved wolf tried to lunge past Halo in order to try to get to the bush where the morsel of meat was being kept hidden from it. It had gotten a slight taste of tender flesh and now it wanted more. It wanted to consume all of it. The easiest source of nourishment was the only thing that was on the beast's mind. It could hardly remember the last time that it had eaten and here the meal had walked right up to it only to now be kept hidden from it.
