The colt lipped at his hand, having learned that treats often came his way from them. Silvano gave a genuine smile at the colt's antics. He learned quickly, and it gave him joy. He pulled out another slice and handing it to the colt's eager lips. Heritage was not afraid of him and that was important. Recognition of his owner was coming along and he could feel the colt trusting him more and more. She asked her question and Silvano shot her a sidelong glance for a moment before returning his emerald eyes to the foal. He would have betrayed his embarrassment had he looked at her fully. "I'm okay," he said simply, trying to pet the colt's red mane, but the colt kept trying to nose out more apple slices from him. He even gave a little whiny of protest when the young man had not given him another. Heritage could smell them but could not find them, and that made him anxious.
"He was born in the blizzard earlier this year. So about seven months or so." Another apple slice appeared in his hand and the colt downed it so fast that the Sadira swore he never put the slice there in the first place. More disappeared down the greedy thing's throat that the youth laughed at the colt's excitement. He would be a proud stallion, that much Silvano could tell already. But his joy was muffled by the sheer amount of embarrassment he had from standing next to Giselle. It was like he had a penchant for embarrassing himself before her and with her. All of his blunders were always with her. And he felt bad about it. Attempting a weak smile, he held out the last slice of apple not to the colt, but to her.
"Want to try?" he asked, nudging with his head in the direction of the colt. His smile was weak, but it was there. Silvano was trying hard not to apologize. He wanted to, oh god, how he wanted to. Just to see her smile more genuinely.
