Personally Symera had never thought upon the subject before this moment. This was her first taste after all. it had been curiosity that had drove her to sampling. Perhaps she was a little monster but could she really be blamed? She had been forced to recognize that the world wasn't a soft and cuddly place. She had to bear witness to the wickedness that was among fellow canines. So why shouldn't she enjoy the small sample of revenge that she had been allotted? Who could tell when she would be able to feel and experience this again? Why not just enjoy it why the thrill lasted then?
Symera was quite happy to receive her hat. It was akin to a badge of honor. It proved that she had faced danger and had managed to survive. Of course she had help but she hadn't called for assistance. The girl was too stubborn, or maybe it was pride instead, to call out for help. She had been faced with death before and therefore wasn't afraid of it. In such a short time of existence she had already decided that if she were to perish then she would do so fighting until strength finally left her body. She refused to back down from challenges. She refused to admit when she was in over her head.
The small girl grinned when she was praised. "Thank you." The girl spoke politely, quite happy with her new hat even though it weighed heavily on her small head. It didn't matter to her that she had to keep her nose lifted high into the air to keep it from slipping off. No, she only cared that she had it. The old skull that marked the borders didn't matter since she now had this one. One that she was certain to end up visiting over and over again.
"What are you doing?" The question was posed when she realized that the other hadn't gotten up so that they could seek out a matching hat for Halo. The young female didn't understand what appeal there was in the body now that the skull had been removed. After all there weren't pelts hung up at the borders to be openly displayed. Because of that the act was entirely lost upon her.
