Vagabond, traveler from afar

Asmodai nodded as she spoke, wondering just how vast this sea was for someone to come across. It couldn't be that far, if wolves could traverse it. The idea of traveling such distances by sea wasn't something which concerned him, though part of this was because it was beyond his comprehension. He traveled great distances by foot, but his entire world was his clan and the profession which he had accepted as a part of that clan. GreyClaw was renowned for one thing, and that was the one thing he knew perfectly.

"That's quite poetic," he said quietly. "You have an artful spirit, it seems. That isn't something that a hard-nosed and fully pragmatic wolf would do." It was something that he himself might do...but not something he would have expected from Muaru or Soro. Varn might have had such a side to himself, a side of sentiment and deeper meanings, but he had kept it well hidden. He had shown this side to his pupil a few times, but not often. There wasn't much room in their lives for such things.

"Perhaps, in this way, you and I are the same. We can appreciate the relevance behind the obvious. A meaning beneath the apparent."
