If ever her height had become a hindrance, it was now. When pitted against a smaller opponent her body was more susceptible to attack and her form had to work twice as hard to avoid damage. This time was no different, and though her form was able, against her crouched opponent, she was at a disadvantage.

As the shoulder connected soundly with her legs, the woman’s weight was suddenly shifted as they were taken out from under her. She threw her weight forward, channeling the force of her collapse into a downward strike into her companion’s back. It was graceless above all else, but a parry none the less in the hopes of downing her contender and bring a swift pause to this awkward dance of thoughtless limbs.
