Neela sprinted swiftly through the trees, her feet pounding on the hard ground as the dark forest flew past her in a blur of brown and black, the occasional branch that hit her barely felt through the thick fur adorning her Lupus form, the same fur that kept her at a comfortable temperature despite the cold weather.

Despite her fast pace Neela's breathing was steady and her gate easy; speed and agility was one thing the lithe wolfdog could handle well, and the natural movements of her Lupus form provided her with a thrill matched only by dancing. If only she could figure out a reliable way to dance in this form she would probably be in heaven.

Neela had been a fair distance away when she had heard the distant howl echoing over the territory, with all the things she had been carrying with her she had been tempted to not answer the call for sheer practicality, but she had only recently been ascended to the rank of Chika and refusing a call like this would likely not reflect well on her.

Chika. Neela's heart still swelled with pride when she thought over her new rank. She had been surprised to be promoted so soon after her introduction into the pack, especially considering that Nayru, and presumable Razekiel, knew of her past. Still she was determined to prove that the trust place in her was not misplaced, so she had set Grynn the task of remembering where she had stashed her belongings and headed towards the gathering.

As Neela jumped over a fallen log, her chest hair lightly brushing the wood as she cleared it in a single leap, she came to a clearing occupied by five other canines. Slowing to a trot Neela quickly gave the thick, bushy collar of white fur ringing her chest a few licks, trying to smooth the ruffled fur into some semblance of order.

Looking around the clearing Neela could recognise only Jace and Kiara out of the assembled wolves, lowering her head to the former as her eyes passed over her. "N-" she started to speak, but suddenly froze as her mind refused to dig up the Ichikan greeting. The infernal word had been slipping her mind ever since she learned it, and so she faked a cough, mumbling "N'ms'te Jace, Kiara." Nodding at each of the two in turn and hoping her low voice would cover her ignorance of the greeting.

Greetings given to those she knew Neela padded over besides Kiara, sitting next to the white wolf and letting her gaze travel nervously over the assembled wolves, searching the unfamiliar faces for their reaction to her presence. "I'm Neela, the new Chika" she suddenly blurted out, her gaze travelling to those wolves she didn’t know before she fell silent, fidgeting awkwardly .
