Despite her wishes, the male refused to leave. Kiara could hear him move on the other side of the door. His shaking voice trying to reassure her. The snow wolf knew he wouldn't hurt her, he was pack and pack could be trusted. Even so, she didn't want him to come in. He was someone she didn't know, although the sound of his voice tugged on her memory. Perhaps she did know him? But still, her once beautiful coat was marred with blood and deep gashes. Amy made her dirty, and Kiara was ashamed to be seen this way. No, she wanted him to go away. She wanted to be left alone.
The males voice, strange yet familiar, begged her to trust him. To let him help her. Kiara could see his silver hand poke beneath the door, trying to reach for her. Kiara let out a little chuckle and then began to cry. She couldn't take his hand, but in a few days she might be forced to. Kiara was a normal wolf, but Amy's vicious attack on her had brought into question whether or not Kaira would stay a normal wolf. Kiara had managed to fight back, just once. If Kiara had managed to make the dog luperci bleed and the blood had dripped into her open wounds, then Kaira would soon be a luperci herself. That idea frightened her. It's not like the snow wolf had anything against luperci, she just didn't want to become one.
"Brother, I... I can't take your hand. But... the door...it should be unlocked." Her quite voice shook. She didn't want the male to come in, but if he wasn't going to leave then he might as well come in. Kiara closed her eyes and waited. Her body was shaking and the bleeding had slowed, but she was still weak and her fever had spiked again.
