Hopes and Dreams

He was surprised and somewhat relieved that the male didn't ask about Merlin's mood, and just sat down next to him admiring his flute. He looked down at the soft carved patterns of the wood, it must of taken a lot of designing and planning to make such patterns on such a delicate instrument. The male seemed very interested in the instrument.

Merlin smiled at the male, "Of course," He said and released the wooden flute from his hand into that of the males. Merlin smelt no pack scent on the male, so he assumed him to be a loner wolf. He wondered while the male examined the flute, if this male truly enjoyed music, then Merlin wouldn't mind teaching him a few notes or maybe a song.

Merlin didn't actually know the really notes for the flute, but through practise, he made up his own version of them. He figured the papers that he found with the flute probably had the real notes and music for the flute, but making his own version of the flute's music seemed more time consuming and least boring. Which worked well for Merlin.
