It was not so much her stories that had Oak so interested. There was something else that intrigued him and the male fought to place a name to it. He laughed lightly at her response, and let it roll off his shoulders. Yet there was still the single thing that held him onto the conversation, however small their words were. They were growing even less frequent the more the moved through the Dreaming lands, and Oak was happy to be in her presence.

She agreed to the race, and bounded off into the snow. Oak allowed her to start before he did, watching her as she moved through the drifts. He watched her tail for a long moment before beginning after her. His long legs were able to take the drifts, large paws acting as a sort of snowshoe to keep him aloft the snow. Of course the mild winter left them with a significant amount less then the year before. It was not until he was in full stride that he felt the competitive side of him rise to the surface.

He growled playfully as he chased after her, no longer making it the lake his goal but simply catching the female his task.
