The wolf seemed to take a moment to collect herself before starting. It was similar to how Grandpa collected his thoughts before telling about the wars he had fought in, focusing on what he remembered, and telling it in a way Adelle could understand. Patiently Adelle waited, every part of her body alert and focused on what she would be told. When Isa spoke Adelle listened. A year old and already involved in a fight. A gasp slipped past Adelle as she was told that Isa's mother had been murdered. What a horrible fate, to have her mother murdered! To lose any family was terrible.

Fully pulled into the story's pace Adelle's eyes were glued into Isa's as she was told that the sisters came after the monster for revenge. The fact that her sister was blinded by it filled Adelle with rage. Her hackles raised, and the pup appeared to have doubled in size with the fury in her. Isa turned her head, and the puppy growled as she looked at the scars, wishing that she could take this monster down. Her blue eyes stared fiercely into Isa's, wishing for the monster to be taken down with all her might.
