Are we there yet?

Emmanuelle was becoming quite the beach bum, she had been hanging around the sandy shores for a few days. Originally seeking the company of others since she seemingly could not do so in her own clan, she hadn't found much of anything besides the sand and the water itself, and for the few days she had been here she had been teaching herself how to swim. Her lynx kits of course, were to stay at the shore. They mewed in protest, angry they could not be there with their ' mother ' but a few sharp looks and they had fallen quiet in silent respect for the oceans dangerous tides, it could pull them far and under with absolutely no mercy. This was one of the many things the yearling Luperci had been teaching her young charges and too her delight they had been taking to her teachings easily.

After she had finished her swim the woman had settled down on the sand and lay there peacefully, letting her fur and hair dry out from the salty waters. The sun beat down on her entire body and she felt strangely at peace here, wishing she lived closer to these wonderful beaches. Sitting up quickly, she looked at her kits and smiled just the, as they were playing with a few shells. Ems had brought a little pack to the beach that day, and she joined her kits in collecting them, coming up with a nice collection of shells to bring home. Something tickled her nose and she looked up, trying to find the source. It smelled like smoke, which was strange, as she believed herself to be the only one in this area.

Cautious now, she gathered her belongings and stuffed them into her pack, carrying her kits in both arms as she walked towards the smell. It might have been a foolish move on her part, but these thoughts didn't cross the sunny coywolfs mind very often. As she approached the smell, the fire came into sights and she paused momentarily. Figuring the sort of person to build a blazing fire on a beach was not the unfriendly type, she pressed on. Soon she happened upon a male and his horse sitting by the fire and she lingered at the border of it. He seemed to be a few inches shorter then her and quite thin and gangly, definitely not the threatening type. Placing her lynx kittens on the ground she smiled at him and approached a few steps closing, brushing her bangs out her eyes and running her fingers through her waist-length now beachy hair. " Hello, my name is Emmanuelle Brenna. May I join you? " She asked kindly.
