Tail tucked up, ears flat against his skull, Hadley's eyes lost their light as he saw the darkness. It was Amy in another skin. His mistress. He had to obey her or die. Not a sound came from him as he was released, eyes dropping to the ground as he drew himself tight.

His ears twitched as Shadowfang entered the clearing, acknowledging it as another dark being that could kill him before his attention returned to the one with the darker soul, the one that felt like Amy.
