His body almost seized up at her words, throwing them through his mind. She didn't remember things but now, as he lay holding her close, something was coming back to her. He didn't know what to do or what to say and, for a short moment, he only listened. His grip on her eased up, leaning himself back so that jade eyes could find her face. "Why Asa?" He asked quietly, bringing his hand back around to brush gently against her cheek. "Why did he leave you?" His voice was calm and quiet as he asked, hoping that his questions would ease the memories back to her mind. |
