Welcome to Wonderland

Kiara remained bright and cheerful despite his embarrassing admission. Her promise that he'd get used to it was good. It would be horrible if he couldn't find some way to adapt. Not to mention that lack might kill him. If a wolf couldn't adapt to a circumstance there was a good chance he would die. Hearing that he was the first she'd seen in a couple months was a little worrisome, since he knew there were lots of packs in the area from his investigation. The luperci must live all over, spreading the virus. He wondered how many uninfected there were still alive beyond his own pack, and this female before him. No, he couldn't think like that. Surely there were plenty more. He was just living in a strange area.

Assured that they were friendly creatures he smiled cockily at her. He wouldn't let himself be intimidated by the two leggers. He was strong enough to survive and fight back against them. Happily he trotted after her, more than happy to be able to watch her attractive flashing tail and white hindquarters moving before him. They reached the borders, and Tharin hesitated. He wasn't sure if he could continue. The encouraging look she gave him helped, and he stepped over carefully, hoping that this would be okay, continuing in to where the den was.
