Axelle continued to survey the area around her, but swerved around when she heard a calm ‘hey’. She carefully took the crossbow off of her back so that she would be able to move more freely. She brought a finger up to point at one of her eyes, ”Night vision, honey.” She said it with a friendly smirk, and then lowered herself around the trap that she didn’t notice before. She could’ve fallen into it if she stepped more toward the right while looking for her friend.
The trap barely looked like one at all. If you weren’t looking for a trap, you wouldn’t find it, but if you expected one- you could see it, faintly. The terrain covering it looked almost like the meadows ground anywhere else, but the shrubs around made it more obvious. To a wolf that wasn’t suspecting anything, they would’ve never caught on to it. The shrubs were placed around it carefully, not making it too obvious, and the medium used to cover it looked just like any other grass that was around. That part she commended Terra on. It looked no different from anywhere else. ”Let’s do this.”
After studying the surface for a few moments, she now knew how to cover the trap with anything in the area that looked natural. She crawled over to it, and applied enough pressure with one of her arms to make the cover fall away into the dark hole. The grass and what shrubs fell tumbled and floated to the deep bottom. Axelle peered in carefully, not letting herself hang over the edge too far. Most of it was dark, and what would be naked to the human eye wasn’t to hers because all wolves possessed night vision, Luperci or not. She always considered it a superpower for animals. Since the human had the brain capacity, the animals were more equipped for life.
