Someone was coming, but he didn't exactly rise to his full height until he had been seen. The woman who greeted him was much shorter and much older than he, but as fiery-red as her long locks were, he had a feeling that he knew her as well as she knew him. Perhaps they had never been introduced, but did two creatures need to be introduced when they had heard of one another. As old as he looked, being asked if his mother was with him could have been regarded as poking at his youthful age, but Valentine could easily decipher the difference. “No, she isn't. I came here of my own accord,” he replied, his stature bending slightly with an ease of tension. “I'm sorry if I don't remember your name, but my mother has told me about you. She said that you were one of the few I could seek out here if I ever wanted a place to stay.”
