Urma was back to wondering beyond pack lands. It had nothing to do with Shadowed Sun in particular; she liked the surroundings and she definitely spent a lot of time within pack lands as well. But it was in her nature to see what was beyond the borders. And it was quite a disappointment to her that everyone else seemed to know the lands better than her. To her mind, there was no better way of finding out things than by exploring the territory yourself. And mapping out foreign lands was what she had always done, since she could remember. She was perfectly aware that she needed to be more social with her fellow pack members, and she would work on that in due time.
Today she had picked the seaside. Although the terrain had proved difficult, if not outright treacherous in some areas, she had made her way down to the shoreline, and she was prepared to let her paws rest for a while before actually venturing into the water. Although water in its liquid state had never appealed much to her in comparison to the allure of snow, she preferred it in favour of solid earth. Which was what she had to deal with, but she reckoned it could have been worse, given she had shipwrecked here. Any type of soil was better than no soil at all.
As she headed towards a small enclosure in the rocks, she sensed the presence of another wolf. Her smell almost never betrayed her. Surely enough, as she approached the rocks and peered around the side, Urma spotted another wolf. She went back to what she had heard of this shoreline. Nobody had ever mentioned another pack. Was this wolf too a solitary one? She remembered how she had met Pilot. Although the circumstances were a bit different, she decided to greet the stranger, and see what came of it. Pilot had been friendly. She hoped he wouldn't be the only wolf she'd meet that would prove as such. Coming closer to the male, she cleared her throat a bit to avoid the element of surprise and said, in barely more than a whisper, "Hello."
