Adelle stared at Isa, the full weight of responsibility on the older female's shoulder. Adelle wanted to know why Isa had changed. She was acting different from her usual self, not wandering around the pack as much as she had before. She would disappear for hours into the fort without returning. She sat down as Isa did, listening for the answer. What did come was very surprising. Adelle fell completely still, only her nose moving a little as she digested the information. Something for females to attract males. Something so that females got pregnant with puppies.
She had to wonder why males were involved, but first she had to absorb the fact that Isa might have puppies soon. Did this mean that pups would be coming to Isa soon?
