Get Me Out of Here

How else had she gotten here. Of course. That made sense. Trent felt rather stupid for not figuring this tidbit of information out himself, but he shrugged it off. "Right," he repeated, the edges of his lips twitching with a forced, ungenuine smile. After getting up, she seemed to be doing better, which was a relief to Trent. He didn't feel very confident that he would've been able to take her to the hotel otherwise, and so he was glad that she was able to walk by herself.

The coywolf stayed next to her as they walked, adapting his pace to hers (adaptation was, after all, one of the things he was best at). He was curious what had happened to her leg to make her wounded, but didn't ask, fearing that it would be some gruesome story that'd never make him leave his pack again; or worse, not feel safe in the pack. And so he did not ask, simply walking beside her in silence with his pace adapted to hers.
