Her journey further into this womans’ land bore her no ill, though her mind was telling her to be alert even when she knew she couldn’t. Flashes of what her mother did when she tried moving off to a spot she was told never to venture appeared. Then her being hit for tripping over her feet while retrieving something for the men... then many other visions she tried erasing from her memories still came. Until that most lovely scent came to her nostrils. She oculd lift her head a little a this and open her eyes. Her stomach attacked the inside of her demanding for whatever that sweet sweet smell was. Soon the woman came out with a few pieces of meat. She wanted the fresher bit by far. The watery taste would be so suculant, but instead she was offered dryer smaller meat. Her mind did not care if she got sick but she could not really fight this and she moved her head towards the meat. Taking it lightly out of the womans hand and lightly chewed. It tasted so good, she couldn’t savor it because before she knew it, it was gone. She couldn’t help the happy feeling her stomach gave her with just that small piece, though she was ready for more. She let her nostrils guide her even though her eyes were open and she was staring at the other piece of meat. How she starved for it. Yet she craved for something more. Something wet.
“W-water?”
She whispered hopefully. As much as she wanted food she had gone most of the day running without water and though the temperatures were not scorching hot, she was still deprived of the most important element of life for without it nothing could live.
