The food was gone as quickly as it was offered. The swift inhale did little to surprise the Nomad when placed with the state the young female was in. Undoubtedly she had not eaten for some time and was rather used to this ill treatment of her body. It was horrid to think about, but it lead the woman to ponder the conditions such a young soul had been forced to endure. Surely she wasn't conditioned to be kept like this...
An ear twitched at the soft request for water, drawing the working mind from its musings to again tend to the youth. "Yes, of course." Kindly, she smiled before retrieving yet another piece of succulent meat trusting it would be taken without contest. Again, she swept the girl in her arms as gently as her massive form would allow and carried her toward their water source.
When once the lake had been witness to a soft confession of love, it became now a witness to help of another. Its glittering waters were for now, the life that would keep the young alive and replenish what strength had been lost. The nameless girl was placed beside the reflective pool just as the velvet hue of night covered the great expanse of the sky completely. What light provided came only from the stars as they showed their unrivaled radiance.
