He couldn’t help but chuckle at her devouring the meat, though he nearly choked on his own, having to cough a few times before he felt he wasn’t going to. He cleared his throat a few times to get that sensation of something still being there gone from and felt rather dumb just by that act alone.
Him speaking of his family made him miss them all the more. He wanted to see his mother again. His father, grandparents, aunts uncles, cousins. Just the though made him feel giddy with excitement. Just thinking about the family he had already made him turn to Palaydrian and think of the family he could have in the future. The children he could have with this beautiful woman who sat beside her... only if he did what Titania said. He felt sad that tonight, the night he had planned for it, they could not share each others warmth the way he wanted to. Yet he still would make it very special for her.
“Try not to count them while I’m gone, but just remember I’ll always be in your heart.”
He said putting his nose next to her cheek, holding her shoulder with one hand and his free hand was shaping a heart just over her breast. The sky was nearly dark now and spots of light could be seen and he perked up a bit. Grinning he pointed towards the forest where the began from. They would come closer, but the little flashing lights were not hard to miss against the darkness that was already inside the forest.
“And I love you.”
He whispered kissing her cheek. This was, he was surprised, only the second time he really said these words to her, he would have to say them more, to let her know how much he loved her. Hopefully when he got his items, he would have proven to her his love. For now he would show it to her in what few actions he would allow himself, mate or no, he was still loving to her.
