The cleared throat sent Adelle's heart straight through her chest. Jumping Adelle clung the ax tightly, spinning around. Why hadn't she noticed? The one person she didn't want to have catch her with the ax, and he was standing right there. Plenty mad as well, if that scowl was anything to go by. Exactly like a cat all her hackles were raised, ax, half hefted up out of terror. Grandpa! Explaining this was not going to be easy. Adelle's mind raced trying to come up with something before finally giving up, just hoping it wouldn't be too much trouble.

The chuckle got her to relax, taking her own turn to scowl. A giggle slipped out, tail wagging as she stepped over to Grandpa to hug him. I thought you'd be mad. She passed the ax over to Grandpa before stepping back, eyes bright with eagerness. Grandpa was the expert on how to use the weapon after all. His appearance was much more feral than her own, a definite wolf like touch to his features, where she was all floppy dog. There was wolf blood, but not enough to show. Smiling she waited for the demo.
