The elk fought hard, but it was bleeding, and already weakened from the time spent in the cold water. His tail wagged furiously as Kiara joined in, dragging it down. The elk collapsed, and died. Lifting his head he let out a triumphant call, telling everyone of the triumph that had occurred. Tail wagging he nuzzled Kiara as she came to his side, licking at the blood that coated her body. Stepping over to the elk he tore into it's side, and began to feast.
Tearing through the tough pelt it wasn't long before the fresh meat was exposed beneath. He left the more nutrient rich parts alone for the mother, though he did eat a good section of it. His stomach was swollen to bursting before he stopped. Backing off Tharin licked his lips and looked over to Kiara, signalling it was her turn. Laying down with contentment he began to clean the blood out of his fur, tail still moving furiously.
