/sucky loser in Optime form
Lena had been thinking hard lately. She had similar thoughts before, but ever since the hurricane and gone and passed, the ideas that were being born in her head were cradled more closely in mind. She was, in her own opinion, grown well past puppyhood, and the days that were spent doing nothing because of the limitations that were put on her were becoming ever more aware to her. She was beginning to feel caged, and she decided to poke around the open territories once more, hoping that would help her clear her head.
Maybe she was growing too big for New Dawn, maybe she needed more. As she padded through the unmarked lands, she felt more comfortable, her thoughts running more smoothly, and the thought came to her. It was not strange for pups to leave parents when they reached a certain age, right? But, then again, she was a "special case". She even bet that if the pack knew what she was thinking, humoring the idea of leaving the pack, they would chide her for it. Yet, the thought of her being her own person without having someone else at the forefront to decide for her sounded pleasing. She allowed herself to be enveloped by the daydream, but soon her thoughts were interrupted.
A strange scent came to her, and it smelled like a pack, but not like any one she ever scented before. She was curious, and made a bee's line towards where the source was coming from. It was a lady, and she smelled... unhappy. She couldn't place the emotion--perhaps uneasiness?--but she knew it was not something positive. "Hello?" the girl called once she was certain the person was within hearing range, pausing in her steps and tilting her head as she attempted to catch any noises they would give away the position of the other.
