His wide, curious, dark red eyes roved over the undergrowth as the young male bounced along the trail leading through the bushes. He didn't often stray far from his home in the mansion, but today he felt different. Earlier he had caught the scent of Naniko and, lo and behold, two of her four puppies. The puppies he had rarely seen since their birth, but Odebeh was becoming fiercely curious and, despite the feeling of betrayal and abandonment he felt on Naniko's behalf since their birth, he wanted to know what was up with them. And what, exactly, they were. Thus, this day, he was moving quickly through the vegetation, following the smell of the puppies and the female that had taken him into Crimson Dreams.
He quickly caught sight of them, but as soon as he did, they stopped. Naniko ushered the two pups into hiding for some reason, and carried off elsewhere. Finding this as a prime opportunity to check the pups out, Odebeh waited until he could no longer see Naniko, and slipped away into the bushes. The smell of the puppies was becoming stronger with his approach, until finally the smell was wild and strong, and he could see the leaves of the foliage rustling. He could hear them, too. Anxious little things. Bright eyed, Odebeh pounced at the bush, yapping loudly at the pups with curiosity. He wanted dearly to see their reaction, and how exactly they would look upon him. As a threat? Would they recognize him? Were they smart? Did they know that he, too, was a wolf like them?
"HEY! Puppies! Whatcha doin? Come on out from under that bush!" He said loudly, paying little attention to whether or not Naniko and her distraction could hear him. Odebeh sunk to his haunches, pawing wondrously at the bush.
