He pawed the ground waiting, watching, listening. He let his senses go wild as he pumped up for the hunt. There was something amazing, thrilling even, about the process. He craved it like the animal he was. The sweet scent of deer lingered on his lips as his golden eyes pearced through the dark forest. He nodded to Kansas as the male spoke. He could feel his partner in crime focus in ready to go. All that was left was for the coal wolf to move. His powerful limbs lowered to the ground as he crouched slowly moving towards the tree line. Finaly, he launched himself forward with a snarl. The time was now. His muscles tensed as he ran, his claws ripping up dirt as he tore across the feild, doe in sight. The animals ran instinctivly right into the trap as the girls came jolting out of the opposite side. The deer were now frantic, running to the sides to get away but the one doe was cought like a fly in a spider web. Quickly, Jazper took in the situation. Savina was nipping at her front legs, Anu was at the side and Naniko was behind. All at once is seemed Naniko went ofr the back legs trying to knock the animal down. At this moment the largest of the group took the doe's second of weakness as she was tumbling to the ground. He tossed his body wieght into the large beast, landing with her firmly held down. There were certain advantages to being in a halfling form, Jazper was about the size of a small bear. His muzzle grabbed the does hind leg and with a swift twist it snapped leaving the kill open to any of the others. |
