cake--

i have come curiously close to the end.

cakeHe said something about occupying time, but she wasn't really listening. She was getting at something here, and she wanted him to go along with it, which she figured he would do even if just out of curiosity. Already her mind had moved on from what she said, holding onto nothing but the gist of her intentions. His surprise was obvious and it pleased her, and her grin stayed there, plastered on her face as she reversed her weight to her opposite leg, hips tilted in a pleasant curve, and leaned her torso forwards toward him. "Three eyes," she repeated firmly, amusement heavy in her voice. Tal knew about her third eye, and wanted to learn some more. So she would.

cakeHe asked what and she didn't respond. Instead she abruptly stood up straight and blurted out, "Race ya!" Just as suddenly, the girl turned around and took off like a flash, tail streaming behind her again, following her own tracks which, by now, were partially covered up in fresh snow. Nevermind the fact that she'd had a head start, or the fact that this coyote with the purple face didn't even know where they were going. He'd follow her, surely, and then she'd see how far he'd really go.
