Am I standing still?

Jasper was ready to move, to dart away at the first moment that might seem like he needed to. The girl only turned though, to look at him he supposed. He was a stranger, after all. Timid and nervous as he might have been, the way that the girl spoke both intrigued and confused him. Siobhan, he decided, was her name, but why did she talk about herself in such a manner? She was still young, it was obvious, but despite that he had still never heard anyone talk about themselves in such a manner. Whatever the case, it made her seem much less scary than anyone else, even the younger pups that he had met in his lifetime.

Jasper stood his ground, watching as she climbed back down and sat on the swing to attempt his suggestion, which he quickly realized wasn't going to work out so well. "Oh.." He murmured quietly, ears falling back against his head. He'd given only disappointment, like always. Unsure, he stumbled forward a few careful steps, eying the swing and then the young girl on it. "I could..push you..if you want?" He wouldn't go near without her permission, of course, which was why he continued to stand as far back as he was.
