He hadn't actually met Gabriel, and he did not know much about him other than what Faolin had mentioned. He was the leader, the Aquila. He was Faolin's mate, and apparently as he had just learned, was this boy's half-brother. He was also important to Faolin (of course), and that meant to Jesile that he was implicitly important to him, as well. He would trust him just as he trusted Faolin, and yet had never met him. Only Jesile could have predetermined this without any first-hand experience with the other male, blindly following someone else's approval. He had no reason to doubt Faolin, just as he had no reason to doubt this boy's seemingly authentic disposition. Lack of doubt seemed anything but dangerous.

"D'no. Guess he could be anywhere by now, but I hope he's gone home." Because that might mean that he would discover his son missing, and perhaps set out to search for him with a mate and two other offspring close behind, in tow. Jesile could only hope.
