Every sound that came from her was like sweet music to the male's ears. He had never imagined he could be so enamored with anyone as he was with Cwmfen. Affection had never been a thing that came easy for him, yet with her it was effortless. It just felt right to treat her that way. He likewise loved being on the receiving end of her gestures and touches. She had brought the man back to life and he didn't mean by finding and saving him that night. He had thought himself incapable of such feelings and tenderness. Also he had never thought that anyone would ever feel such things for him. Yet here the two of them lay, entwined. His heart beat for her and for her alone.
He leaned his face into her touches and savored that quick kiss. As she pushed her nose into his fur one hand went up to rest at the back of her head, fingers rubbing her neck. He kissed the top of her head, his arms refusing to let any amount of space come between them. Her soft laughter was unexpected, but it brought a smile to his lips and his tail softly tapped against the floor of the cave. The fact that he had caused this happiness within her was so fulfilling. He loved her smiles and the light that danced in her perfect eyes. He loved the way she made him feel and the fact that she accepted him for who and what he was. He loved everything about her.

Onus knew what she meant by that question for he knew that she understood that he could not join her pack or spend every moment with her (no matter how much he wanted to). He brought his mouth close to her ear. "I want nothing more," he said quietly but with conviction. He squeezed her body tight as he spoke, adding power to his words. He cared for her more than he had ever cared about anything besides his mission and he would give her every moment that he could spare. The fact that she was willing to accept him with his restraints and flaws made his heart swell. He had hoped that she would be willing to but knew that it was a lot to ask. "Yes we will." Their similarities would allow this love of their's to thrive to its full extent. The seeds had been planted and he wanted to let them grow.
