She was like his mirror image, the storm in his soul reflected in her eyes. She stared at him through green eyes like the ones of his beloved, but he tried to put that image out of his mind. He wanted nothing to remind him of home, nothing that could trip his guilt and make him want to return. There was nothing now that could cure his pain but the bite of hard liquor. Lubomir did not doubt that Mew loved him and would go on loving him, as he loved her, but for now he needed the release. The wolfess before him was strange and somewhat aloof, but that had never bothered him, who had drunk with an Inferni coyote. The way she rose spoke of inner turmoil and a broken sort of grace and he wanted nothing more than to sit beside her and listen to her woes. His body and his heart yearned for Mew, but his senses told him that there was nothing in Dahlia that would ease the pain, nothing that would calm his blood. But, according to this female, who could read him so well, there was something here.

Lubomir climbed the steps carefully, his feet kicking up small clouds of dust. The wind kept on howling and he could feel the way the building stood unmoving, and could only imagine the amount of stress the lighthouse had to withstand. It spoke volumes about his mental state when the sight of the dusty bottles brought forth a small wag of his tail. Oh, yes, sweet release. He grabbed as many as he could carry and slowly went downstairs again, hoping the female was there. She was. He smiled gently at her and offered a few of the bottles silently. If she had come for something else, then she could refuse, but he would not be taken for an uncouth wolf. "It seems we seek the same thing, do we not? To forget whatever haunts us. I am Lubomir, glad to make your acquaintance, my lady." With a bow, he introduced himself before deftly opening one of the bottles and taking a gulp of the burning liquid. Good vintage, as far as he could tell. Certainly appropriate.
