The air was still around him, the sweet summer air hinted of rain. That was not something new, it always seemed to rain and when It didn’t there was always the gloomy threat of its approach. His heart beat had calmed, and he could no longer hear it in his ears. The black and sand colored hybrid turned and walked towards the creek and the mare that stood before it. She was a roan colored beast. Her dark face and legs, a deep gray, filtered into a speckled merle and silver. Mane and tail followed her face and held the same dark hue. Black eyes watched the horizon. Over the water and towards the small line of trees. His gold moved as hers did, and found that what she watched was much closer then Heath found comfortable.

The figure was one Heath had never seen. Huge did not encompass his size, and it moved with a swift gate that only a horse of equal fight could mimic. A hand, light in color moved to the mare’s shoulder. The rope still hung over his shoulder and around his chest, and his tested the air with a black nose. A Dreamer. Yes, another one of the pack wolves. This one gave Heath up to the memories of the fight with the Dreaming witch but this was approached as he had been chased by something. He only looked on in silence, prepared to flee. He would have to push the horse to follow, her eyes locked on the large beast.

“Thing?” He said to the confused Dreamer. His voice was calmer and softer then he thought it would be. “She is a horse.” Lumiere spoke for the lack of Heath’s astonishment at the male’s ignorant words, nostrils flared and head turned as to see him clearly. “Have you not seen one before?” a paw, black in color fell to the rope, holding it as if hung across his chest.
