Cambria was thankful when her brother stopped walking forward and came back to her. She didn't want him to leave her all alone in this dark place. The nudge was comforting and made her feel a little bit better, but still she stayed on the floor of the cave. There were so many things about the world that she didn't know, and for her, that made it a scary place. The world was full of happiness and magic, she did know that, but she knew there were dark and evil things as well. She had experienced some of them first-hand. The little girl didn't want to be so scared all the time, but it was hard for her to get past it. She needed the support of others to move beyond her fears and hesitations. Thankfully, her brother was doing his best to fill that role right now. As he licked her head she uncovered the rest of her face, looking up into his brilliant blue eyes. "Yahs?" she asked, feeling better yet. "You won' lets anyting happens to me, will you Gothawms?" She didn't think he would, but to bury her fears she needed to ask.

Swallowing her eyes looked past him and down into the darker recesses of the cave. She couldn't hear anything. No deep rumbles or gnashing teeth. Maybe it was okay. Maybe she didn't have anything to worry about. Though the surrounding darkness made it hard to feel confident about much. If only more light had been filtering into the small cave, then she could have an idea of what lay before them. Unfortunately there was no such assurance on this day. What lay ahead of them was completely unknown. Cambria looked back to her brother, trying her best to look confident, but she knew that the nervousness still swam in those aquatic orbs.
