Mati remembered when she first began mixing colors. Everything that she created looked like some shade of brown. It was a fine line between a brilliant color and some sort of poo looking hue. It was just the three that could make anything, and Mati nodded at the pup’s question. “Just the three.” though as Mati thought on it a little more, white was sort of a primary color too. But mainly all they would need was red, yellow and blue.
Maybe it was time to go back to her see her teacher, though the black that she was once feeling towards the piece was fading. That was Amata’s doing, Mati was sure. Before she had felt the image melting from her mind, but the presence of the pup had given it back. Though part of her longed to know what her mentor thought of her progress.
“A canvas is, this.” She said with a point of her paint-tainted finger. “Fabric stretched over pieces of wood.” She went on to explain. Violet eyes taking a glimpse at the picture that was only a portion completed. Idly she used some of the purple hue, the color of her eyes, to shade a small leaf. Breaking concentration she focused back on the little pup that was now streaked with paint. “Sure we can.” She spoke with another smile. She wondered how they would be rid of the paint that covered both their paws.
The patter on the windows answered her question, and a small smile came to her face as she thought of it. The wolfess looked at her paws, the different colors matting the fur of her hands. All they would need was a few large puddles, and the water based paints would be flushed from their fur.
