He waited, both hands holding the rod securely as the fish pulled on the line. His golden eyes stared at her stiff grey figure and blank sky blue stare. "Now is good." He said slight sarcasm dripping off his tongue teasing the older female with a smile. Maybe he should have taken more time to explain the equipment in the boat. As Anu finally realized that, yes, he had been talking to her he stared down at the fish and almost felt a small guilt for the poor guy but the pack had to eat and fish was a good resource. Holding out a hand for the net he took hold of the hard rubber grip and nodded his thanks to Anu before catching himself staring at her again. Her excitement reminded him of a pup chasing a butterfly. The same large silly grin and twitchy body language. His own tail began to swish back and forth with his own excitement.
Pulling the fish in close to the top of the water he masterfully swept the net under the sea creature and pulled it out of the lake. It was a fair sized catch, grey in color with a fat bottom lip. Saving Anu the visual he turned around quickly, opening the plastic container of water placing the net and creature into the water he quickly removed the hook before letting the fish swim inside the box of water and turning back with a smile to the grey wolfess. "There's one." He sighed as he sat back down, re-baited the hook and tossed it into the water. He settled his heart down and simply took a deep relaxing breath smiling at Anu. "So, what's new in your life?" He asked as his mind wandered to what was new in his own life...Ghita Marino.
