Mati was happy not knowing that she had inspired the latest litter of Crimson Dreams, and memories of her puppy months were fuzzy and full of only the dramatics of those times. She had always seen Savina as an Aunt, a stable and beautiful extension of her family and to be able to help when Cambria had been hurt and to watch over Amata like she was now, and teach Gotham was something that Mati love to do for Savina. None of the pups have ever been a bother. “Never!” She said with a smile, humorously thinking that the mother was ridiculous with such a thought.

The paw prints now dotted her floor, and Mati was bringing to fall in love with them. Amata’s twirling gait made the design unique and whimsical, the young woman was now sure she would keep it on the floor. “We have been having a lot of fun.” She spoke to the pup, her smile large and gleaming. There was nothing like having a piece of your art hanging up where everyone could see it. Amata should be proud to have a piece hanging where her family congregated. Mati had been too bashful to hang anything beyond her room’s door.

Savina’s question made the Captain looked back to the older female. She knew what she was talking about, for they hadn’t spoken of all the changes since they had occurred. It was hard to think of them, to know that it was her mother that had caused them so much pain. But instead of falling victim to the feelings Mati only smiled more softly and spoke, “Better.” Honestly she was doing better, with the help of the youth that the Dreaming pack had and the distractions they gave. She had grown up watching over them. “I’ve been spending a lot of time with the pups.” Smile brightened as she looked back to Amata, no longer thinking about the challenges the entire pack had faced.
