Icarus took a running start, pumping his legs as fast as they would permit, before he shot over the side and was flying through the air. In that split second while in the air, Icarus could see the shiny gleam of the air – the sine qua non of sliding.

The pup began spinning in circles – eyes catching sight of Legacy one second, then looking back at the bottom of the hill. Feeling dizzy, the pup came to the bottom of the hill and slid a few yards before he finally came to a stop.
