Smile
With winter close upon him, he knew that his childhood was coming to a close. The youngest member of Inferni had thirsted for this time since he was old enough to remember. The boy who steadily growing into his thin frame, but for now he remained lanky. There was a lot of growing left for the hybrid boy to accomplish, but nature was acclerating the process just a bit. With the colder weather upon him, it seemed as though he grew in width and height along with the growth of his winter coat.

The golden-eyed boy was proud of the way his body was changing. It meant to him that he would soon be that much more capable and that much more useful to his clan. He remembered the feeling of impatience, like ants crawling under his skin. And now it seemed that he was on the precipice of discovering that part of his life. He could hardly wait.

The sandy-colored male had taken a much more active role in patrolling the borders of Inferni now. It was true that his smaller size left him at a disadvantage, but with Kaena and Hybrid's help, he had learned a thing or two about his to handle himself in a hostile situation. He knew that right now he would not be the most remarkable warrior for the clan, but as he grew he realized that he could be useful in other ways. One of the things he could do was scout and keep watch over the borders. His golden, coin-colored eyes took everything in.

He smelled her before he saw her; there was a scent that lingered just beyond the borders. He identified it as wolf and the corners of his mouth were drawn down in distaste. The last time he had interacted with a wolf, it hadn't been his favorite experience. He recalled his interaction with Daisuke with just a bit of irritation. The stick-carrying man had been quite insolent and had wandered into Inferni's borders like he was on a picnic trip. However, Mason noticed that this particular wolf took care to stay out of the scent-marked territory. That was interesting...a wolf acting part-way reasonable?

With curiosity, the coyote-hybrid drew closer to the source of the scent. A figure of a woman was revealed to him within the span of a few moments. The young male cocked his head to the side as he considered her. "What's up?" the young boy asked. He had almost reached adolescence at this point and was in his late childhood. The high-pitch of his voice had mellowed, but his age was clearly evident by the lilt still present at the edges of his words.
