Oh, that woman was so foolish! Rage was apparent as the coppery hybrid shot through the already roaring fire not far after Kaena. As always she had lingered close to the older woman and she had got up and followed the moment the yipping call had sounded. Now he had infiltrated their home and Halo Lykoi, formerly known as Halo Soul was furious. Was there no end to this madness? Of course not. Did she wish for it to end? Fangs were bared, but she had no more bullets to put in the male’s body. There was always the sword though, and teeth were bared in a toothy grin more than touched by a little madness. Today she would cut some wolf meat and Kaena would realize how utterly devoted she was!
Despite being quite visible, the wolf seemed oblivious of her approach, his deep blue eyes completely focused on her Lykoi grandmother. At the last moment, the disgusting beast seemed to recognize her approaching form as something solid and dangerous, and he pulled back the moment before the glittering blade stabbed at the spot where his face had been. This was also dangerously close to Kaena, but immensely strong muscles helped well by urgency and adrenaline let her sharp claws dig into Kaena’s scruff and draw the woman back and away from Halo’s half-sibling. She put her entire weight into forcing the woman backwards and away before her body twisted and gave the sub-leader a sudden push in an attempt to push the older relative off her feet.
It only took a moment, but that was all it took for the male to turn and flee once again. Ruby orbs watched the two-legged form hurry away. Ears took in the crazed sound of madness catching in Haku’s throat. Two coyotes and a sword along with the promise of more members shortly seemed to have made the male choose cowardice, but his instant retreat had been unexpected. Halo was usually an obedient girl in her leaders’ presence, but not today. She turned to the apparently crazed woman and sneered with rage that was for once not concealed. ”You fool!” her voice was angry and upset, but she bit down on her tongue and choked back the reprimand she so wished to shower the woman with. Did Kaena truly wish for death?! What was she thinking rushing at their crazed and dangerous enemy this way! Hot tears wanted to flood her eyes, but she refused to let her emotions overwhelm her.
She turned slightly, now of course ashamed of her actions against her own beloved grandmother, and now noticed the unconscious wolf caught in the bear trap. How peculiar.
