Conor and Haku kept fighting. Tokyo saw the rage spread on her leader's face, and out throughout his actions, as he took in the sight of the two males. She felt a bit miffed that her own presence didn't seem to matter at all. This decision she had made wasn't made lightly. Well, okay, she had made it rather easily... But not lightly. She knew that by choosing security and power and loyalty, by choosing her rank in Dahlia... By choosing these things over Haku, her leader, the father of her one worthwhile child.. Tokyo understood that she was giving something up. It wasn't a whole lot, because most of what was attractive in Haku was his prestige, his power, the way he always got what he wanted. But witnessing this very act diminished him in her eyes.

Clearly, he wasn't as strong as he had thought. Her problem wasn't that he had been cruel and bloodthirsty and started a war. No, Tokyo realized, standing there, that she despised whatever weakness in him allowed the crimes to be exposed. It was a hypocritical emotion, because the power that Haku had held over her was due to him somehow finding out about her infanticide. Of course, that power he had was gone, now. It was somewhat freeing. No leader in Dahlia would dare to believe a word that fell from his traitorous, deceptive lips. Of course he would try and spread lies about as respected and as honorable a member of Dahlia de Mai as Tokyo Chance.

The more she thought about it, the more she realized she wasn't losing much in this transaction. The prestige she would gain for witnessing this event, for participating in the power transfer... Yes, that would be a hefty thing. She would be able to tell the puppies of the pack of this glorious battle, where good defeated evil. (Oh god, what had King done to her, to so alter her thinking that she could actually think of puppies without revulsion?).

And she resented even further that he didn't seem to care about her presence. Haku didn't even mind, didn't even care about her betrayal? Tokyo never expected honesty from anyone on any matter but their good opinion of her. If he was bluffing on all the compliments, simply putting a show on for the affection, that was kind of irritating. I mean, it was still better than nothing, but.. Pft. Whatever. He deserved to die, for that. Conor should put a end to his stupid filthy life. Haku had accomplished the goal of his species - he had reproduced. He had made a perfect child, his passing wouldn't be missed much by the world. Oh, and then he had made this adequate one, this Conor that would lead in surrogate until King was of age. And then the sort of stupid one, who had gotten himself tangled in rope, but he was cute enough for all his lack of intelligence.

They should hurry up and finish the fighting. This was getting tedious.
