That night she had heard her mother's yowl, had skulked from her cave and seen the deathly glow on the horizon. She hadn't had to guess if it were an accident, or who had started it. The moment she had seen that glow of all consuming flame fear had once again grabbed a hold on her heart. He was coming for them. For her, for her mother, for everyone. Rikka had hidden in her cave, body trembling in fear. She did not think she would survive this war, even if Inferni did. Of course Inferni would, some way or another. It always did. Rikka wasn't made of the same mettle as her brother though, or her mother, or really any of her family. Even if she had once been, it had leaked out of her, softened. She had been happy, even when she first came here, but now she was slowly dieing and decaying away.

Call her a coward. Maybe they were right, but that didn't mean that she wanted to subject herself to their disapproving eyes. Dulled golden oculars looked only at the Aquila, her fingers nervously rubbing the puffy scar that encircled her arm. The only one that could get them out of this alive was Gabriel.
