HI MY NAME IS SIE. THAT IS APPLICABLE FOR ALL SUBMISSIONS. XD

Also I am really, really bad at approximating square mileage so... adjust accordingly?!?!

[html]Yarmouth/Barrington Subterritories

Cape Sable Island, Location (Maybeee 2-3 square miles?)

Cape Sable Island is a tiny island all the way to the south, in the same territory that encompasses Barrington and Yarmouth. It is a rather large island, and it is very prone to bad weather--there is a low-lying fog generally hanging around the island, and the waters surrounding it are known to be dangerous. Thankfully, prior to their extinction the humans erected a rather sturdy causeway which provides foot transportation to the island--of course, during periods of high sea elevation, the causeway is impassable. The island itself is the birthplace of the Cape Islander fishing boat, a small boat found all over the Atlantic, and thus there are many factories which have finished and half-finished boats left to stand inside. There was also a large lobster fishing industry on the island, and many of the buildings are relevant to it--canneries, factories, and entire docks dedicated just to this industry. The exterior of the island is surrounded by a single, lonely road which provides transportation between the many coastal communities of the island, whereas the interior of the island is generally untamed wilderness.

Highway 103, Location (I have no idea)

Highway 103 connects Halifax to Barrington and eventually Yarmouth. Its four lanes are sparsely populated with numerous decaying cars--they create a rather eerie atmosphere for travelers along the road, skeletons still draped across the innards of the cars. The asphalt itself has begun to crack, with weeds and hardy grasses springing up from the earth. Overgrowth hangs thickly over both sides of the highway, allowing only a thin sliver of sunlight to penetrate through the gloom. During the humans time, Highway 103 was the second deadliest road in Canada--it has grown considerably less dangerous in the time of the Luperci, of course, but it's not really a place one wants to wander around alone at night.

Tusket Islands, Location (Uh. Probably less than five square miles? :[)

The Tusket Islands are a number of islands south of Yarmouth. There are a very large number of islands, ranging in size from tiny to massive. The largest of these islands is, of course, Tusket Island, with an elevation of a hundred feet above sea level. The other islands are generally rather small; during the time of humans they were very sparsely populated, and there are virtually no human remnants on the smaller islands, with few exceptions. The most notable of these is on "I'sle du Massacre" or "Murder Island"-- so named for the legend of a pair of warring Native American tribes who wiped one another out, their bodies found decades later by humans. A small memorial museum relays this tale to present-day Luperci explorers, displaying bones and other human artifacts.

New Glasgow, Location (3 square miles?)

New Glasgow is a relatively small island town. Although it is rather small, there are four distinct neighborhoods: the North End, East End, West Side, and Downtown. Both the East and North Ends are mostly sprawling residential communities, with the North End obviously the more affluent of the two neighborhoods, with larger houses and properties. The East End was downtrodden even before the humans were extinguished--the area shows distinctive signs of decay, and the apartment building complexes are the safest places to go, as many of the duplex houses are in shambles. The downtown area is primarily businesses--there are storefronts as well as larger corporate buildings, but as New Glasgow is not a city, none of these buildings are over four stories tall. A small hospital and several schools are also located downtown. The West Side is extremely commercial; there are a number of large warehouses and factories for exploration. Main Street bridge, which enters on West Side and then cuts straight through downtown and into the East End and up to the North End, is the only way into or out of the town.

Unknown Territory Subterritories

Shalebridge Marsh, Location (~7 square miles)

The westernmost coast of 'Souls is composed primarily of of lowlands. Not only is the area barely above sea level, it is also dotted with numerous rivers, lakes, and waterways, and it is often prone to flooding. The soil here is especially fertile, and the area is wildly green in the springtime, even the water itself growing over with a thick layer of algae. During the wintertime, however, Shalebridge Marsh is especially dead and barren--there are no coniferous trees in this area, and so winter is an especially gray and dreary time in this part of the land. Both the cold and misery of winter and the warmth and beauty of spring are accentuated by this place. The area is populated by a number of birds--there are a number of water-loving species, including some herons, ibis, and many different kinds of ducks.

01 (I LOVE YOU FALLOUT 3)

Note: I would think this area would expand the green on the unknown subterritory a little bit, I hope that's alright? D:

Cheval Island, Location (<2 square miles)

This tiny island was not populated in the time of people aside from a single research station which stands in shambles on the southernmost tip of the island. What has survived from their time, however, are the horses that have roamed the island since the 18th century. They are a small and hardy feral species, generally brown and white in color, with virtually no gray horses among them. They are small and referred to as ponies, but they are in fact horses. There are no more than a hundred horses roaming the island, and as they have not been domesticated in any way for nearly two hundred and fifty years, Luperci are ill-advised to attempt taming them unless they are extremely experienced with equines. Cheval Island itself possesses just one freshwater lake, with only enough vegetation to support the small horse population. There are few small mammals or other prey animals aside from the horses—sea birds frequent the coastland, but beyond that there is little else to be found on Cheval Island.

Halcyon Subterritories

Stellarton Mines, Location (2 square miles surface area?)

The Stellarton Mines were first opened up in the early nineteen hundreds. The humans gouged deep into the mountain, creating long and deep tunnels that were in use until the virus struck. Although most of the mine shafts are horizontal, there are a few instances of sharp vertical drops that required the use of elevators--elevators which have long since ceased being used. Of course, there is no natural light in the deeper parts of the mine; in order to safely explore the Stellarton Mines, a torch is required. Even with light, canines are advised to tread very carefully, as a fall into a vertical mineshaft is certain doom--if the fall itself isn't fatal, there isn't a way back up and out of the mines.

Pictou Falls, Location (9 square miles)

The Pictou River runs over Halcyon Mountain, cold and fresh water springing forth from deep within it. During the course of its downstream travel, the river meets a rather sharp cliff face and falls well over fifty feet into a deep pool below, continuing downstream a short way before doing the very same thing. This pattern is repeated four times down the stretch of the mountain, with rolling and rocky cliffs on either side of the waterfall the whole way down. The lowest waterfall is the only one that is safe to jump, as the drop is a mere ten feet and the pool at the bottom is the largest, but the rest are no less picturesque for their danger.

Traître Ampitheatre, Location (1.3 square miles)

The Traître Ampitheatre began as a simple indentation in the mountain, used by the local natives to hold various types of meetings. Industrialization and the success of the mining industry on Halcyon Mountain lead to deeper cuts into the rock, eventually carving out a very large ampitheatre. The vast, empty parking lot stretches around the ampitheatre itself, ridiculously curved and with various levels and heights thanks to being built into a mountain. The rock formations closest to the bottom of the ampitheatre are are brilliant orange-red, as the construction on the theatre eventually gouged into a layer of clay-rich rock, and the rings of different types of stone make up the sides of the theatre, growing progressively darker and less crimson close to the top. The stage area is quite large, and a runway extends out from it into the seating, which were of course, designed with each layer slightly higher than the next.
