Think Meghann wants to reply next :o

It seemed that his claws must have met a good mark, for the paw on his chest scrambled, drawing deep red lines across his flesh. Haven clamped his jaw against the pain, taking it in and using it to fuel his energy for the fight. It was still a few moments before he felt the teeth release his arm. When they did he used his feet to kick himself back and away from the white male. A snarl still distorted his face as he quickly assessed the damage on his forearm. The teeth marks were deep, but the burning ache only enraged him more. Jades turned to look at his enemy, seeing the casualties he himself had wrought. Sickly satisfaction coursed through him. He may be hurting, but he had given just as good as he had got.

Still though, even after his face and eye had been shredded the man did not flee. For some reason, that made the Knight even more angry. Why wouldn't he back off? Why wouldn't he leave? Though really, it didn't matter. Haven would have pursued him. No one attacked Princess and got away with it, much less on their own pack lands. Another roar grew in his chest and he lunged out at the beast, claws and teeth searching for flesh to dig into. All thoughts of his sword were temporarily abandoned. Instinct drove him to punish this wolf, not to strategize.
