The Chance girl could not recall the last time she had been so desperately frightened. She had not even been nearly as scared the day she had met Anselm after having an almost unfortunate encounter with a loner that then lost what made him a male. She had not been afraid to leave her mother at such a young age when she and Ares had left in the middle of the night, and she had not been nearly this fearful of leaving Tokyo to go to Crimson Dreams. Nothing that she had ever experienced could possibly compare to the fear and worry she felt now, seeing Haven being so viciously attacked. Princess felt completely nauseas watching the fight unfold, the pungent scent of blood hanging so tangibly in the air. All she could do was watch in horror, knowing very well that there was a good chance that Haven could be seriously hurt, but that there was nothing she could do to stop it from happening.
It was a grotesque scene, blood and torn flesh seemingly everywhere around the pair grappling for victory against one another. Princess inhaled sharply, leaning forward onto her knees, her hands clasped so tightly in her lap that she was losing feeling in her fingers. It was all she could do to keep herself from yelling out to Haven or, heaven forbid, putting herself into the dangerous fray, but she suppressed those urges for his sake. The Knight did not need distractions and he did not need to worry about her more than he already had. For a fleeting moment, she considered calling for help from the rest of the pack, but something inexplicable held her back from doing so. Maybe it was the subconcious knowledge that Haven would want to do this himself that stopped her from calling. She had known long ago that he wanted to prove something, and she knew what he had told her about his father.
