Her body mirroring the movements of deep sleep, that was the only part of her that she allowed to rest. Her mind and heart had been whipped into a cyclone of paranoia and worry that ravaged in her spirit as she lay there alone. Sure, her family had visited her as often as they could, and Mati had stopped by a few times to teach Ghita how to put life onto paper, but there was that pressing disconnect that wrapped around her leg and ribs, cutting the fae off from the community she hadn't realized held such value for her.

She could feel it in her bones, especially the one that had suffered the worst damage. Something in her leg wasn't healing exactly right - the pain still overwhelming her if the fae so much as moved it a millimeter in any direction. She hadn't even tried to put any weight on it yet, still using her makeshift walking stick to maneuver around. By now, however, the stick had gained another purpose - stress relief, as the fae subjected the wood to her ivory teeth, gnawing the top half ferociously as the worry and pain grew worse and worse.

Blinking as she heard the sudden knocking at the door, Ghita exposed her turquoise optics to the room around her, the one she shared with Jazper - and the one where their two children had been conceived. Jazper had taken the pair of them out on the patrol, as far as she knew, in an effort to keep Ghita as peaceful as possible, undisturbed and isolated. It had only taken a week or so for the fae to become humiliated as she lay on the couch in the main room of the Manor, exposed to any and all who wished to give condolences or pitying looks. Her pride taking several severe hits a day, Ghita had ended up shocking everyone when she'd silently slipped upstairs, blanket and all, not informing anyone of the move. Sure, there'd been a few frantic minutes where the mother was MIA, but the commotion was quickly sorted out and resolved without any lasting effort.

"Sì, sorella. Io sono qui - Entrare."" Hearing her sister's voice echo just outside the room both comforted and alarmed her, the younger Marino's tone giving only subtle hints away as to her present mental state. But Savina had always managed to support Ghita when she'd been vulnerable - this was no time to repeat the situation over again. Taking a deep breath in, Ghita used her arms to shift her position on the bed, more open to company now. For Savina to have taken time away from her young pups to visit Ghita was amazing and heartwarming, the company for which Ghita was most grateful.
